As I mentioned in my last e-mail, I will be organizing a giveaway for the two originals that are part of my Firmament collection this fall!!!

The winners will be announced at the beginning of December so the works can be shipped in time for Christmas.

These were inspired by the joy of being filled with the Holy Spirit and I felt very strongly that they should be gifted in time for Christmas:

Winter Layers – A Mixed Media Exploration

I’m super excited to have finalized a 6 week mixed media class! This is first time I’ve ever formally taught an art class so it’s going to be new for me.

I’ve included the details below if you’re interested in learning more and it will be through the Sheep Creek Arts Council:

“Winter Layers – A Mixed Media Exploration
In this series, we’ll dive into the beauty of layering — starting with dramatic contrast using white charcoal and chalk on black acrylic, and building up to rich, complex surfaces with acrylics, pastels, oil glazes, and touches of gold leaf.

Each week, we’ll explore new techniques, tips for sealing between layers, and creative ways to combine mediums while keeping the integrity of your work. Whether you’re new to mixed media or have been painting for years, this series is designed to be relaxed, supportive, and inspiring — a chance to experiment, grow, and create without limits.

First Session Supplies:

• Canvas (16x20 or larger preferred)

• Black acrylic paint

• White chalk

• White charcoal

• Kneadable eraser

• Optional: a simple high-contrast reference photo of a person, plant, or animal (I’ll have images available too)”
