See the Abide Paintings in Person Next Friday

It's official! All four of the new Abide paintings will be at the show in person next Friday...

I’m thrilled that everything came together in time! I can officially confirm that all four of my new Abide paintings will be with me to view in person next week at the Sheep River Library!

They won’t be varnished and sealed as I need to make sure the oil is bone dry so I like to wait a few weeks before varnishing but I feel it’s important to bring them with me regardless.

Three of them are 100% finished, and the fourth is still hanging on my staircase - I can’t quite call it done but it’s right there. I’m sure the finishing touches will come in the next few days.

The cross painting I’ve named “The Veil Was Torn”:

“The Veil Was Torn”, Abide Collection

As soon as I was inspired to paint light started shining through cracks in the wooden cross, it reminded me of that moment in Scripture when Jesus died and the temple veil was torn from top to bottom.

The painting of Jesus bowing His head I’ve decided to call “Be Still.”

That verse — “Be still, and know that I am God” — has been with me through almost the entire creation of this series. It’s been the quiet reminder behind every layer when I started pushing or overthinking.

Hope to see you next Friday! See below for details…

Thank you, as always, for walking through this process with me — the slow weeks, the breakthroughs, the naming, the second-guessing, and everything in between.

Warmly in Him,

Martina
