This past week, I did the last few layers of oil and added some gold leaf. This painting is now ready for varnishing once it has a few weeks to dry!

No progress this week! Planning to refine the charcoal layer this week since all my oils are drying.

“When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” – Colossians 3:4

I’ve had a few lengthier sessions for this one. It still needs some refinement but it’s getting there. The last few oil layers were quite thick so it’ll need at least a week if not longer to dry fully before I can continue working on it.

I’ve got a few commissions still to work through before I can slow down a little bit from larger mixed media leading up to my due date in July. I’m hoping to start at least testing and brainstorming my scripture-centred artwork soon though because I am taking on less work at a time already starting in March.

Every time I pray on direction with my artwork, I feel led to pursue this so I’m really excited to get started share more soon!
