Completed 2nd Equipping the Persecuted commission:

Progress shot

Final work (excuse the glare - better photos to come soon)

I’m so excited that I was able to complete this one this week!

It will still need some time to dry prior to varnishing but It will be ready to ship to the US in the next few weeks in time with the other commission for the Equipping the Persecuted auction at the end of April.

Stay tuned - more info to come on this auction!

Prolife Alberta commission will be delivered by this coming Thursday!

The non-toxic solvent (shown below) that I’ve been experimenting with and mentioned last week provides good quality results on canvas although it stripped the finish off a few of my brushes that were always fine with the Eco House solvent so I don’t like that.

Also, I still hate the smell so will likely be returning to using my staple: Eco House’s Xtra Mild Citrus Thinner. As long as I keep something over the solvent while I’m painting like a lid/paper plate so the vapours don’t fill the room I find it’s very tolerable.

Given how intense the contrast was, this is me adding a white wash to the text of my experimental scripture work using watercolour and ink on paper:

Still looking for the right frame for this one. May do another layer or two of watercolour or gouache white wash depending on how I feel about it after a few days.

UPCOMING:

My next projects include a private commission I’m unable to share progress on until it’s delivered in May. And I’ll be doing more scripture artwork for the next few months that I’m excited to share with you!

Thank you so much for being here with me. Please do not hesitate at all to reach out and connect! I genuinely really enjoy hearing from you.
