For Christmas this year, I’ve felt it right to give away two original paintings from the Firmament collection. These two pieces sat unfinished for several years in my studio once the rest of the Firmament collection was finished because I just didn’t know how to resolve them.

I envisioned them as the colourful centrepieces to the collection, which was by far mostly black and white.

But they just never felt complete or finished to me…I was honestly pretty close to giving up on them and either painting over them or burning them.

But then earlier this year, I finished a portrait of my daughter, Autumn, with a layer of oil pastels and it occurred to me that was exactly what these two paintings needed to give them the glowy, vibrant colourful finish I was hoping for.

It’s challenging to capture the depth and vibrancy of the oils and oil pastels but I’ll try in the following pictures:

PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to ONLY be entered for one of the paintings, please specify which one in your reply. Just be aware that if the painting you’ve selected is already taken when your name is drawn, you will not win the other painting, but rather I will draw a new name. “Dawn of Grace” will be given away first unless otherwise specified. Then “Everlasting Dawn.”

I will accept entries until midnight MST on Sunday and I will be drawing names on MONDAY, DECEMBER 1ST. 

IF YOUR NAME IS DRAWN: I will contact you by e-mail to sort out shipping/delivery (which will be on me!).

IF YOUR NAME IS NOT DRAWN: you will still hear from me with a little surprise free gift as a thank you for participating.
