A Potential New Project

I’m nearly done my wildlife series (just some details on the wolf left!) and juggling a mural proposal that could shift my plans a bit...

Well this has been quite the week!

I’ve haven’t gotten a chance to finish up the wildlife series — the wolf in the forest — and I really want to wrap it up this weekend. It’s the only one left to finish, and I’m so looking forward to seeing the whole collection come together.

Here are the 4 finished pieces if you haven’t seen them yet:

I haven’t named most of the pieces yet — I like to sit with them for a while and let the right titles come to me slowly. The only one that’s named so far is the magpie painting, which I called "Still Seen." It’s about the feeling of being misunderstood, but still noticed and known — something I think a lot of us (and magpies) can relate to.

That said… I’ve also been up to something a little different this week — putting together a proposal for a community mural at the town pool!

If it gets approved, it’ll be my first mural ever, painted alongside youth volunteers throughout August.

It’s exciting but also kind of daunting — especially since it would mean pushing my next series into September. I’m still figuring it all out, but I’m trying to trust the timing and take the leap if the door opens.

And of course, I couldn’t help myself… I’ve already started sketching for the next series. It’s super rough and early, but here’s a peek:

Limited edition prints for this series will be dropping soon, and you will be the first to know.
